(Springfield, IL) — The federal prosecutor in charge of the upcoming corruption trial of former Congressman Aaron Schock is asking the judge to impose a gag order, limiting what Schock and his attorneys can say to the media during the trial. Schock’s attorney, George Terwilliger says it would be unfair to bar Schock from continuing to defend himself against what Terwilliger calls “contorted allegations.” Prosecutors are also arguing against Schock’s request to move the 24-count financial corruption trial from Springfield to Schock’s home territory of Peoria. Schock is due in court Monday.
