(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are moving on without pitcher Jaime Garcia. The 30-year-old left-hander has been traded to the Braves for three prospects. Garcia went 10-and-13 with a 4.67 ERA this past season. He was 62-and-45 with a 3.57 ERA in eight seasons with St. Louis overall.

(St. Louis, MO) — One of the three prospects the Cardinals got from the Braves for Jaime Garcia is the son of a former big leaguer. They acquired second baseman Luke Dykstra, the 21-year-old son of Lenny. The others are pitchers John Gant and Chris Ellis. Garcia will make 12-million in 2017.
