Governor Bruce Rauner and the four legislative leaders continue to meet but a deal on the state budget or reforms remains elusive. The budget did come up in the latest meeting, with House Speaker Michael Madigan again suggesting that working groups should tackle the issue and come up with a plan. He addressed GOP critics show says he’s just trying to drag out the process.
House Minority Leader Jim Durkin says Republicans want reforms to go along with any deal they approve.
