The Illinois House passed a resolution on Wednesday opposing any efforts to pass an income tax increase during a lame duck legislative session. The measure is meant to send a message and take a roll call says State Representative David McSweeney.
The resolution passed on an 87 to 12 vote but isn’t binding. Another bill aims to change the constitution to prevent tax hikes during the lame duck period.
