The former Fayette County State’s Attorney will not return to his former post, as Stephen Friedel lost a close election Tuesday to current Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison. Friedel says that he’s certainly disappointed in the result. But, he says the people have spoken.
Friedel served as Fayette County State’s Attorney from 2000 to 2012 and, at that time, decided not to run for another term. Morrison, meanwhile, will now serve a second term as the County’s Prosecutor.
