(Yorkville, IL) — A Kendall County judge is delaying his ruling on whether to allow a breach of contract suit filed by an alleged sexual abuse victim of Dennis Hastert to proceed. The judge heard arguments today on behalf of the unnamed man who claims the former U.S. House Speaker reneged on a deal to pay three-and-a-half-million-dollars to keep his abuse of teenage boys secret. Hastert’s lawyers want the suit thrown out, claiming the deal is unenforceable, even though Hastert has paid about half the money. The judge said he’d rule by November 29th. Hastert is serving 15 months for banking crimes related to his hush money scheme.
