Brownstown’s I-70 ramps will be closed for most of the day today and again on Tuesday. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the I-70 ramps at the Brownstown exit at mile marker 68 will be closed on Monday and Tuesday to complete re-surfacing. I-DOT says the ramps will be closed on Monday at 7 am and re-opened by 4 pm that same day. The ramps will then be closed on Tuesday to complete work on the ramps, again closed at 7 am and re-opened at 4 pm. The work is in conjunction with the interstate resurfacing work on 1-70 between Brownstown and St. Elmo. That work is estimated to continue into November.
