(Springfield, IL) — The state is on track to break the record for money plugged into video gaming machines in a 12-month period. The Illinois Gaming Board reports that as of September 1, nine-point-two-billion-dollars has been played on the 24-thousand terminals across the state this year. At that pace, the state would break last year’s record of 11-point-two-billion-dollars played. Currently, there are 56-hundred bars, bowling alleys, restaurants and other establishments across the state that have licenses for video gaming.
