(San Francisco, CA) — Alex Reyes combined with two relievers on a five-hitter as the Cardinals shut out the Giants 3-0 in San Francisco. Reyes threw seven innings of four-hit ball for the win. Aledmys Diaz hit a two-run homer and Jhonny Peralta singled in a run as St. Louis split the four-game set.

(Chicago, IL) — Kyle Hendricks was outdueled by Wily Peralta as the Brewers beat the Cubs 3-1 at Wrigley. Hendricks struck out nine, but gave up two runs in six frames to fall to 15-and-8. Tommy La Stella’s pinch-hit double plated Chicago’s lone run. The Cubs dropped three-of-four and host the Reds starting tonight.
