The Fayette County Board approved the renewal of a portion of their insurance at their monthly meeting on Tuesday night. The board unanimously approved the renewal of their dental, vision and life insurance with Guardian. The renewal will be for the period of October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2018.
Also at the meeting, the board approved an ordinance that makes changes to licensing and regulations for things like raffles and poker runs in the county. The new ordinance was approved by a vote of 11-0 and will take the issue of a license having to be approved and a long wait time away and will instead be reviewed by County Clerk Vicky Conder and will cost $10 instead of $50. The new ordinance will take out a long wait time that has existed in the past when the license had to go before the county board and makes it easier for organizations and businesses to go through the licensing and regulation process.
