(Chicago, IL) — A Cook County judge will consider a request to take a new look at the unsolved killing of the late Senator Charles Percy’s daughter Valerie fifty years ago. Kenilworth police are fighting the release of documents from the case to a New York lawyer who has filed a request under the Freedom Information Act. Police say the investigation of the 21-year-old woman’s stabbing death is still active, but the judge will decide whether the case file must be released. Valerie Percy was killed September 18th, 1966 in the bedroom of the family’s lakefront home in the midst of what appeared to be a break-in.
