An accident involving one semi led to a fiery crash in Effingham County and led to several hours of rerouted interstate traffic. Illinois State Police Reports says the accident occurred at 2:40 pm on Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 57 at Mile Post 163 in Effingham County at the north tri-level area. Reports say that a semi driven by 42 year old Anthony Bohn of Virginia was northbound on I-57 when State Police reports say he ran off the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The semi then came to rest in the right lane and caught on fire. Due to the area of the crash, both I-57 and I-70 traffic was rerouted for about 2 ½ hours on Tuesday afternoon. Bohn was transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham for treatment of injuries.
