(Chicago, IL) — State Comptroller Leslie Munger says her Democratic challenger, Chicago City Clerk Susana Mendoza, is partly to blame for the state’s budget mess. Mendoza accuses Munger of not standing up to the man who put her in office, Governor Bruce Rauner. The two appeared jointly before the “Chicago Tribune” editorial board today where Munger said Mendoza’s fingerprints were all over the budget problems because of her votes as a legislator. Mendoza accused Munger of not opposing Rauner’s fight against union fees paid by non-union workers.
