We’ll have one more day of pleasant weather but the potential for some severe storms is in the mix for Wednesday. Today we are looking at a near-repeat of Monday as we’ll see mostly sunny skies today with a high of 81. Not nearly as cool tonight as we’ll see a low just in the upper 60s and there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the overnight hours. For Wednesday, the forecast says that showers and storms are likely with a high of 86. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says that severe thunderstorms are possible late Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night across much of the area—although the greatest threat will be across parts of northeast Missouri. The NWS adds that severe thunderstorm threats will include hail around 1 inch in diameter and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
