(Springfield, IL) — Illinois‘ so-called pink tax is a thing of the past. Governor Rauner signed the law to repeal the tax Friday. Democrat Melinda Bush pushed the idea, saying taxing feminine hygiene products added a cost to a fact of life for women. Bush hopes to rollback the tax on other ‘pink’ items as well.
