(Chicago, IL) — Randall Grichuck’s grand slam capped a six-run eighth inning as the Cardinals dropped the Cubs, 8-4, at Wrigley Field. Brandon Moss and Jedd Gyorko belted solo shots for St. Louis, which ended a two-game slide. Alex Reyes tossed three shutout innings of relief for the win. Carl Edwards Junior got tagged with the loss for the Cubs, as he gave up four walks and five runs in two-thirds of an inning. Kyle Hendricks struck out 12 in a no-decision. Addison Russell belted a two-run homer to give Chicago an early lead. The Cubs’ 11-game win streak is over.
