(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs nailed five home runs as they hammered the Cardinals, 13-2, at Wrigley Field. Matt Szczur belted two homers and Willson Contreras, Jorge Soler, and Javier Baez added dingers of their own to lift Chicago. Jake Arrieta pitched into the sixth inning to improve to 14-and-5. Kris Bryant added a pair of RBI-doubles as the Cubs rolled to their 11th straight win. Stephen Piscotty and Jedd Gyorko went long for the Cardinals, who have lost three-of-four. Adam Wainwright got chased after two innings, giving up seven runs in his seventh loss of the year.
