Vandalia grad and current Vanderbilt University assistant coach Josie Earnest is now a champion in the Professional Women’s Bowling Association. Earnest won the Rochester Open on Sunday for her first PWBA title. Earnest entered the tournament as the third seed and knocked off top seeded Shannon O’Keefe in the championship round. While the event was held this past weekend, the general public will have a chance to catch the event on national television when it airs on August 23rd on CBS. Earnest’s win also puts Earnest in the 16-player PWBA Tournament Championship that will be in Virginia next month.
And now with her first professional championship in the bag, Earnest will next compete as part of Team USA at the Pan American Bowling Confederation that is also scheduled for next month in Colombia.
