One of the strongest supporters of the Vandalia Statehouse in the Illinois General Assembly says it’s time the state get serious about the sites and keeping them going. State Representative John Cavaletto talked a little about Cory Jobe’s visit to the area this past week and says the Vandalia Statehouse and other historic sites need to be open 7 days a week during the summer months.
And, Cavaletto adds that the state has to get serious about upkeep with these sites, too.
Cavaletto was in Vandalia on Saturday to present a certificate to the Fayette County Health Department, as they were celebrating their 40th anniversary.
