The Illinois Department of Employment Security is implementing some changes to help those collecting unemployment find a job. Starting July 17th those filing a new benefit claim will have to fully register for the state’s unemployment services and submit at least one resume in order to get their checks says Agency Director Jeff Mays.
The resume will be posted on Illinoisjoblink.com—which currently have more than 179 thousand job openings. May says many collecting benefits are not currently taking advantage of the job services the state offers.
