(Washington, DC) — A Republican Illinois congressman is breaking from the party line and supporting gun control legislation along with several Illinois Democrats. Representative Bob Dold introduced a bipartisan bill Friday preventing terror suspects from purchasing firearms. It’s identical to a Senate bill that’s already been introduced. Dold joined Democrats in calling for action in the wake of the Orlando night club shooting that killed 49 people.
