(Undated) — Illinois‘ comptroller is pleading for state lawmakers to approve a budget before the new fiscal year begins next month. Leslie Munger made several stops yesterday around the state including Illinois State University, Rockford and Peoria. She called the yearlong budget impasse “irresponsible” and “unconstitutional.” Munger warned that funding bills for education and state services will lapse after July 1st.
