A group of School Superintendents from around the state of Illinois will be in Vandalia on Wednesday, June 29th for a Press Conference and Rally to talk about education funding. The event will be held at noon next Wednesday at the Vandalia Statehouse. Vandalia Superintendent of Schools Rich Well says this is to talk about education funding and the issues that will come up if no funding is approved for the new fiscal year that starts next Friday.
The list of Superintendents that are attending is continuing to grow and now contains nearly 40 names from around the state. One that is planning to be in attendance is Chicago Public Schools CEO Forrest Claypool, who is a St. Elmo native. The public is encouraged to attend the event.
