(Chicago, IL) — Governor Rauner says he plans to run for office again in 2018. However, he tells the “Chicago Tribune” that Democrats could gain Illinois House seats in November which may turn Speaker Michael Madigan into “the dictator of the state.” With Illinois approaching a full year without a state budget, Rauner is calling for a six-month stopgap spending plan for the fiscal year that begins July 1st. He also wants a full-year of funding for education.
