Vandalia’s 17U baseball team ended up going 1-3 at their tournament over the weekend at Lenz Field in Jacksonville. Vandalia started off on Friday with a 4 to 0 win over the Bloomington North All Stars, with Alec Schroeder going the distance for the win. But, Vandalia lost to the Wisconsin Prospects, 11 to 0, lost to Chicago Demarini, 11 to 0, and lost to Wisconsin Stiks, 11 to 2. All three teams Vandalia lost to when 4-0 in pool play. The Vandalia 17U team is now 2-4 on the season. They will play in the SIUE Pastime tournament beginning on Thursday of this week.
