Governor Bruce Rauner says many state agencies are on the verge of crisis without a budget in place. Governor Rauner says there will be dire consequences if a stopgap budget isn’t approved by lawmakers this month. He says government agencies are in desperate need of the funding.
I-DOT says more than 800 road projects will be shut down next month if the short term budget isn’t passed. The Governor is also urging lawmakers to approve education funding for the upcoming school year.
