The state of Illinois is just a few weeks away from going into a second year with a state budget. And, Vandalia Superintendent of Schools Rich Well says that has many school districts around the state very nervous. Well says that would put them in a very tough spot if there is still no budget, and no school appropriations from the state, when the new school year gets rolling in August.
Although there was no budget last year, there was approved appropriations for schools that kept their funding coming in throughout the year. And, that same situation may be a possibility for this coming year as well. We’ll hear more from Well coming up tomorrow during NewsCenter.
