A suburban legislator is urging the Governor to eliminate the state’s so called “pink tax.” State Senator Melinda Bush is sponsoring a measure getting rid of the state sales tax on feminine hygiene products. They are currently taxed at 6.25 percent statewide and as much as 10.25 percent in Chicago.
Both the House and Senate have passed the bill. But, it must be signed into law by the Governor.
