(Chicago, IL) — The reelection campaign of U.S. Senator Mark Kirk hasn’t been attracting money from outside Republican groups lately, even though those groups have been spending on other GOP incumbents. The Center for Responsive Politics reports that GOP groups have spent less than a million-dollars on Kirk’s campaign, but have spent 13-million in Ohio, six-million in New Hampshire, eight-million in Pennsylvania and four-million in Wisconsin on Republican Senate incumbents. A spokeswoman for Kirk predicted spending will pick up when Democrat Tammy Duckworth is tarnished during a misconduct trial in August.
