Governor Bruce Rauner says the spring legislative session is ending in “stunning failure.” With no budget, no reforms and not much hope for compromise anytime soon, Governor Rauner is laying the blame on the majority party that controls the House and Senate.
Rauner has just proposed a stopgap plan to help get the state thru the end of the year, including money for education. Democrats say they will look at the Governor’s proposal.
