(Springfield, IL) — The future of two Exelon nuclear plants in Illinois is up in the air. A bill aimed at helping keep the facilities in Clinton and the Quad-Cities open didn’t make it out of the spring legislative session. Exelon has said both plants will be shut down by 2018 if the measure wasn’t passed by last night’s deadline.
