(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner is vowing to veto a budget passed by Democrats in the Illinois House. The governor said he won’t sign the 39-billion-dollar spending plan after meeting with legislative leaders yesterday at the state capitol. Rauner is pushing for a balanced budget that includes items off his pro-business agenda. The clock is ticking for lawmakers to act with the legislative session scheduled to end tomorrow.
