Two people were injured in a semi-tractor/trailer accident on Interstate 70 early Thursday morning. Illinois State Police reports indicate that a semi-tractor/trailer operated by 22 year old Michael Booker of Indianapolis, Indiana was traveling west on I-70 at mile post 71—which is about 3 miles east of the Brownstown exit—when the driver drove out of his lane onto the shoulder. State Police reports say once the driver was on the shoulder, he corrected back onto the driving lane and the truck-tractor and semi-trailer overturned onto the shoulder and driving lane. The driver and a passenger, 24 year old Isaiah Booker of Indianapolis, Indiana, were transported to Fayette County Hospital and the passenger was then flown to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
