Despite House Democrats passing their own budget Wednesday night, Governor Bruce Rauner says he remains optimistic that legislative working groups will come up with a better solution. House Democrats pushed thru a budget that may be up to 7 billion dollars out of balance, and Governor Rauner says he’s hopeful lawmakers can do better than that.
The legislature is scheduled to adjourn on May 31st. The Governor is looking for a solid spending plan accompanied by some of his proposals like Worker’s Compensation Reform and freezing property taxes.
