(St. Louis, MO) — Randal Grichuk’s solo homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth gave the Cardinals a 4-3 win over the Cubs. Matt Adams belted a pinch-hit, two-run homer in the seventh to tie the game for St. Louis. Trevor Rosenthal earned the win in relief. Miguel Montero had two hits and an RBI for the Cubs, who left 10 men on base. John Lackey struck out nine over seven innings in a no-decision. Adam Warren took the loss.
