Traffic on Interstate 70 was brought to a crawl, or a complete stop, yesterday afternoon and evening in Fayette County near St. Elmo. Reports say that the reason for the traffic issues was an accident involving multiple semis. Those vehicles had to be removed from the interstate and that led to traffic being rerouted onto U.S. Route 40 for a time. No reports of any injuries with the accident and traffic got back going last night. We hope to have more information on the accident later today.
