Legislative leaders are agreeing to appoint a working group to discuss Governor Bruce Rauner’s proposed reforms. The leaders and Governor met to discuss the budget and committed to setting up a panel of their caucus members to talk about reforms to Worker’s Compensation, Collective Bargaining and more. Senate President John Cullerton says he was pleased with the meeting overall.
The Governor has said he could support a tax increase if his reforms are passed. A recent framework of a budget plan was announced that includes an income tax hike.
