(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois House is supporting a bill that would provide more funding for higher education in the state. Lawmakers approved spending over 450-million dollars on Illinois universities and MAP grants. The move comes after Governor Rauner signed a bill into law last month that provided 600-million dollars to fund schools through the summer. The bill now heads to the state Senate.
