(Springfield, IL) — The providers of home health services in Illinois are wary of what will happen when the Rauner Administration’s ban on overtime pay takes effect Sunday. Rauner says the state doesn’t have the 14-million-dollars needed to pay federally required time-and-a-half wages to the 24-thousand personal assistants who serve the disabled. The workers’ union says the administration has offered to resume the overtime payments if the workers agree to a four-year wage freeze.
