A Bingham couple is facing charges for cruelty to animals after their arrests earlier this week. 47-year old Jackie Lee Snider of Bingham has been charged with two counts of cruelty to animals with the first count stating “the said defendant, being the owner of a male pit bull, knowingly failed to provide adequate food to the animal, thereby causing the death of said male pit bull” and the second count stating “the said defendant, being the owner of a female pit bull, knowingly failed to provide adequate food to the animal, thereby causing the death of said female pit bull.” Both counts are Class A Misdemeanors. Snider also faces two additional charges from his arrest with the first being “violation of sex offender registration” for “knowingly failed to notify change of address” which is a Class 2 Felony as well as a charge of “unlawful possession of a unsterilized dog by a felon” which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Bond for Snider has been set at $50,000.
Also facing two charges of cruelty to animals is 35-year old Satisha L. Snider. The first count states “the said defendant, or one for whom she is legally responsible, being the owner of a male pit bull, knowingly failed to provide adequate food to the animal, thereby causing the death of said male pit bull” and the second charge stating “being the owner of a female pit bull, knowingly failed to provide adequate food to the animal, thereby causing the death of said female pit bull.” Both charges are Class A Misdemeanors. Bond for Satisha Snider has been set at $5000. Satisha Snider posted bond and was released.
