(Chicago, IL) — As the Chicago Teachers Union gets ready for a one day strike on Friday, they’re gaining support from other unions. Chicago Transit Authority workers plan on backing the CTU walkout, but won’t formally join the picket line. But some fast-food restaurant employees have hinted that they may take to the streets with the teachers. Meanwhile, Chicago Public Schools CEO Forrest Claypool is calling the strike illegal under Illinois law.
