The National Weather Service is making some tweaks to the long range forecast for Illinois. Although the strong El Nino is expected to linger into late spring and early summer, State Climatologist Jim Angel says the effects might not be as definitive as first expected.
Angel says the outlooks is calling for average rainfall amounts thru September.
