(Chicago, IL) — An Illinois House candidate claims he was attacked by supporters of his opponent’s campaign. Robert Zwolinski is running for office in the 4th District against incumbent Cynthia Soto. He told police that he confronted a man and woman Sunday night stapling posters for Soto outside his Chicago campaign office. Zwolinski says the pair responded by hitting him in the head with a bottle and shooting a staple gun at his forehead.
