(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois House is moving forward with another plan to fund higher education in the state during the budget crisis. Lawmakers approved a measure that would provide over three-billion-dollars to help fund state universities, community colleges and a group of social service agencies. The proposal now moves to the Senate. Governor Rauner has already stated that he opposes the legislation.
