Norma Violet Blunt, 90, of Sandoval, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Centralia. She was born June 5, 1925 daughter of Ralph and Joy (Bryant) Roseman . She married William “Bill” Blunt and he still survives her in Sandoval.
Survivors include her husband Bill of 70 years; daughters Vicki Dilg and husband Tim of Shobonier, IL, Connie Keppler and husband Larry of Pittsboro, IN; sons Don Blunt and wife Vanessa of Henderson, NV, Joe Blunt of Sandoval, IL; grandchildren Jake Keppler, Kaelin Armstrong, Whitney Jackson, Jenni Blunt, Britney Blunt; 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Blunt was preceded in death by her parents, sister Oleta Brumfield, niece Beverly Brumfield.
She worked for several years at the family owned business B & J Wood Products. Norma, her daughter Vicki, Bill, and son Joe all worked at the sawmill together. Her and Bill were co owners of their son Joes softball team. They went to games all over the United States. She was avid bingo player. She was also member of the Patoka American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and Vandalia Order of Eastern Star. She was also huge cardinal fan. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
