The latest long term forecast shows Illinois might be in for a warm, dry spring. The March thru May forecast is calling for above average temperatures and below average rainfall says State Climatologist Jim Angel.
Angel says there are no drought concerns yet, since soil moisture levels are currently adequate in Illinois.
