We could reach some record high temperatures today and then we could see some storms move thru the area tonight. We are looking at mostly sunny skies for today with a high predicted at 69. According to Weather Underground (available at www.vandaliaradio.com) the all time high for February 20th is 71 degrees in 1983 (By the Way, we set that all time low for this date—4 degrees—just one year ago). Then showers are likely tonight and possibly a thunderstorm with a low tonight of 43. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says there is a slight chance for thunderstorms for parts of the area thru tonight. And, the NWS adds, some of the storms will be strong to severe with the main threat being large hail. We then have a slight chance of showers on Sunday morning and we’ll see a high on Sunday of 53.
