Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, with Dr. Ben Foxworth, Rev. Ernie Flowers and Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery RFD Vandalia, IL,. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 and 10-11:00am Wed * before service, all at Bethel Baptist Church, RFD Vandalia, IL. He was born April 03, 1934, in Pittsburg, IL, the son of William Lewis “Bill” & Lillian Mae (Eyman) Kern. Married B. Lenora “Lee” Stoneburner, October 30, 1955 in Vandalia, IL. Morris was a Retired Retired Printer for Greenville Advocate and Wall Street Journal and Owner Operator of Kern’s Wonderful Woods in Raymond, IL. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and former Deacon & Sunday School Teacher at Woburn Baptist Church..
He is survived by: Wife – Lee Kern, Vandalia, IL; Son – Steve Kern & Teri, Iuka, IL; Daughter – Cherylee Bridges & Sam, Rochester, IL; Brother – Merle Kern & Phyllis, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren – Josh & Trish, Jason & Kris, Becky & Ross, Branson & Deanna and Stephanie; 6 Great Grandchildren.
