(Sunrise, FL) — The Blues piled up three first period goals as they knocked off the Panthers, 5-3 at the BB&T Center. David Backes, Jaden Schwartz, and Robby Fabbri all scored in the final eight minutes of the first period to put St. Louis up for good. Brian Elliott had 29 saves in the win. Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal and assist for the Panthers, who have lost three of four. Roberto Luongo gave up three goals on 13 shots before getting pulled.
