(Springfield, IL) — Some much needed funding for a large number of low-income college students in Illinois could be on its way unless it is vetoed by the governor. The state Senate and House passed a bill yesterday to fund MAP grants. The measure will also fund the operations of community colleges. The bill now moves to Governor Rauner for consideration.
